Registering your vehicle with Ford owner is the best way to confirm it’s eligible. In general, select 2018 and newer vehicles with FordPass™ Connect (SYNC® Connect in ‘17 & ‘18 vehicles) are properly equipped for this feature. You’ll then need to download the FordPass App and activate FordPass Connect.
Activate your trial
Here’s how to get started:
In the FordPass App, select the picture of the vehicle, or the vehicle icon in the navigation, to access the vehicle menu.
Scroll down until you find the Vehicle Hotspot icon.
Select the “Mange my account” button. You’ll be directed to the AT&T connected car page to signup for your trial.
Follow the steps provided by the carrier to sign up and begin your complimentary Wi-Fi hotspot data trial. No credit card required.
Your trial will remain active for 3 months or when 3GB of data is used, whichever comes first. To ensure you don’t lose service, sign up for a wireless data plan from AT&T.

Download FordPass™ App from the App Store® or Google Play™ store.
Create an account in the app, then add your vehicle by scanning or typing in your VIN.
Select Activate Vehicle. Start your vehicle and select Allow on the in-vehicle pop-up. You’re now ready to use FordPass Connect.
