How to identify your SYNC® version
Four versions of SYNC are available, including SYNC with MyFord Touch, depending on your vehicle’s model and year. Learn which version of SYNC you have.
Learn moreLike any piece of complex technology, common issues with SYNC software can often be addressed by conducting a Master Reset. A Master Reset is also recommended when you are transferring vehicle ownership. In either case, the process erases all stored data within your SYNC system — including call history, text message info and previously paired phones.
Your vehicle must be in Park and running, not in Accessory mode.
Make sure you are familiar with all of your vehicle’s controls.
Make sure you note any saved Navigation points and other personal data. If you don’t, you will lose all this info.
