How to make your phone active in your Ford Owner account

To use any of the phone features for SYNC® with MyFord Touch®—such as making a call, receiving a text message, or using SYNC Services—you must first connect, or "pair" your Bluetooth®-enabled phone. Some smartphones use a four-digit Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) and cannot accept the six-digit PIN provided by SYNC. A reverse pairing allows you to pair a phone requiring a four-digit PIN.27,48,129

You can make and receive calls with any Bluetooth®-enabled phone that is paired and connected to SYNC®. But to use SYNC Services* or to run a Vehicle Health Report, you'll need to make one phone active in your Ford Owner account. Only one phone can be active, but you can change it in your Owner account at any time.27,48,64,129
