How do I pair my Galaxy S5 with SYNC?

Here’s how to pair your phone:

Start your vehicle, and power on your Galaxy S5. 

Enable your phone’s Bluetooth® feature:48

  • Press Apps > Settings.
  • Scroll to and press Bluetooth; to turn Bluetooth on, press the Bluetooth slider.

On your vehicle’s SYNC 3 touchscreen, press Add Device.

(If you’ve already paired a phone, SYNC displays the name of that device. If your screen asks you to connect a phone, make sure your Galaxy S5 Bluetooth is turned on.)

Go back to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, and scan for devices.

  • Press SYNC.

Both your phone and SYNC 3 touchscreen should now display a six-digit PIN.

  • Verify the two numbers match.
  • Press Pair on your phone.

The SYNC 3 touchscreen display will then indicate pairing was successful.
