Learn moreWe take great pride in every vehicle we build. So, should a problem arise, we’re here to make it right. Your electric vehicle’s battery warranty protects your components if repairs, replacements or adjustments are needed while you are covered. Your battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, retaining a minimum of 70% of its original capacity over that period.
The battery in your vehicle is a sophisticated piece of connected technology that can be updated with the latest system updates. Keep technology updated to ensure your battery is performing at its best and remains fully protected by the warranty.
In order to keep your battery in tip-top shape, charge only when you need to. Charging at home is super convenient and maintaining a consistent mid-level charge is more beneficial than charging to 100% each day. If you keep it between 20% and 90% charge for local use and charge to 100% for road trips, this will extend the life of your battery over the long haul.
Charging at home is one of the greatest conveniences of owning a Ford all-electric vehicle. You can also access thousands of Level 2 AC Chargers and DC Fast Chargers when you are away from home. DC fast charging will help you get on the road quickly, but it stresses your battery more than Level 2 AC charging. If you have the time, take it easy and charge your vehicle at a Level 2 AC charger.
