How does my Ford electric vehicle’s connected navigation work?
Your Ford electric vehicle is equipped with SYNC 4A with Enhanced Voice Recognition and Connected Built-In Navigation* — the latest technology to help make your travels a bit easier.
The updated navigation system is cloud-connected, which allows for up-to-date traffic and road conditions, as well as current charging station information. All the relevant information you need is at your fingertips on the 15.5-inch portrait-style LCD touchscreen. Plus, improved conversational voice recognition allows for smarter searches. You can ask for directions, or search for Points of Interest (POI), like “Find Italian restaurants on my route.” You can add your home and work addresses, and then say, “Navigate to work.”
You can also find the nearest charging station. The SYNC 4A system will locate compatible public charging stations including DC fast chargers. The FordPass™ Power My Trip feature takes it a step further. Available with your SYNC 4A system and on the FordPass App, it helps you plan your route and locates charging stations along the way. It also delivers the latest charging station information, when available, including cost, power level, ratings from other customers and real-time availability of charging stations. Even better, you can save your trips in the FordPass App or through your SYNC 4A system for future use.
*Navigation service requires SYNC® 4 and FordPass™ Connect (optional on select vehicles), complimentary connect service and the FordPass™ App (see FordPass Terms for details). Customer receives a complimentary 3-year trial of navigation services when an eligible vehicle is added to member’s FordPass account. Trial period begins with new vehicle warranty start date. At the end of the complimentary period, access to connected navigation services will be discontinued. Connected service and features depend on compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. FordPass App, compatible with select smartphone platforms, is available via a download. Message and data rates may apply.
Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
