How do I adjust my SYNC Navigation System volume?

It’s easy to adjust the volume of the available navigation system by using dashboard and steering wheel controls or voice commands. You can also mute navigation guidance entirely by using your SYNC® 3 touchscreen.27

Here’s how to adjust the volume of the navigation voice:

  • Use dashboard or steering wheel controls:

    • Wait for the navigation voice to begin speaking.
    • Before the voice finishes giving directions, use the volume knob or buttons located on your dashboard or steering wheel to adjust the volume.
  • Use voice commands:

    • At any time, press the Voice button and say “Navigation voice guidance on,” or “Navigation voice guidance off.”
  • Use the touchscreen to mute navigation voice:

    • Once you have set a Destination, press the Menu icon and then press the Mute Guidance icon

Note: The control buttons in your vehicle may differ. Please see your Owner Manuals for exact labels, location, and usage.
