A powerful way to connect to your vehicle—remotely
SYNC Connect162 allows Ford owners to stay connected to their vehicles in a way they’ve never been able to before. This available built-in technology—powered by a 4G LTE modem and the AT&T network*—connects owners to their vehicles from just about anywhere—through FordPassTM on their smartphones.
To use SYNC® 3 phone features—such as making a call or receiving a text message—you must first connect, or "pair" your Bluetooth®-enabled phone. Pairing is what allows Bluetooth devices to communicate securely with each other.
Please note that SYNC 3 can make and receive calls using only one paired phone at a time.27,48

No matter how eclectic your musical tastes—from Hip Hop to Country to smooth Jazz—or how you store your music, SYNC® 3 lets you enjoy it all safely while you’re behind the wheel, without rummaging for your media player. Use SYNC 3 to control your favorite radio stations, streaming apps and playlists, either through voice commands or your touchscreen.
SYNC 3 provides fast and simple access to all audio sources—some built into the vehicle (like the radio) and others brought into the vehicle such as your personal media devices and apps running on your compatible smartphone.27,63

A master reset returns the SYNC® 3 system to the factory settings. If you experience problems with the SYNC 3 system, you can perform a master reset. A master reset also erases all personalized information such as paired phone or Bluetooth® devices and destinations or navigation points of interest.3,27, 43

Changing your engine oil and filter at appropriate intervals helps maintain your vehicle. Clean oil lubricates your engine, and is necessary to help protect your engine and ensure its proper function. Without this periodic service, the resulting metal-on-metal contact could cause severe damage.
The instrument cluster located on your Ford’s dashboard is equipped with warning lamps and indicators that allow you to easily monitor your vehicle’s condition and control settings. Upon starting your vehicle, you may see some of these indicators light up as a routine check to verify functionality. These lights may simply be indicating a vehicle control setting, e.g., Front Fog Lamps On. If certain indicators were to remain illuminated while your engine is running, however, they could be alerting you to a serious condition. To take the guesswork out of interpreting these signals, scroll down to our visual glossary, which displays the full array of warning lamp and indicator symbols, and defines their function.
Your vehicle’s power steering system helps make turning the steering wheel easy. And that helps make low-speed maneuvers like parallel parking easier.
Many newer vehicles are equipped with Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) and do not use brake fluid. But some older vehicles require power steering fluid to help keep this system running smoothly. Owners of these types of vehicles should check the fluid level every month.
If your power steering reservoir is low on fluid, you’ll need to add more to help keep your power steering system healthy. Here’s how it’s done.
