Shopping At The Dealership

Whether you're visiting your Ford or Lincoln Mercury Dealership to buy or lease a new car or Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you will be dealing with a trained and knowledgeable salesperson.

While there’s no homework necessary to stop by and shop, here are a few things you can do beforehand to get the most out of your visit.

Do some pre-shopping online
If you haven’t already done so, visit the Ford or Lincoln websites. You will get product information, learn about special offers, have the opportunity to build and price a vehicle, check your dealer’s inventory, find out what your trade-in is worth, get a quote and much more.

Take a look at options
If you’re interested in SYNC® or SIRIUS® Satellite Radio, make sure it’s available for the vehicle you’re interested in. You’ll also want to explore the wheels, electronics, body kits and other accessories designed for the vehicle you’re interested in at the Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury Custom Accessories website.

Bring your paperwork
Print out any price information for the vehicle you’re interested in and any documents that show a value for a vehicle you’ll be trading in, and share them with your salesperson. If you choose any Custom Accessories, bring a list of them as well.

Ask for a test-drive
Some shoppers are actually shy about asking for a test-drive. Well, don’t worry, sales personnel are happy to accommodate. Your salesperson will answer any questions you have, introduce you to the features you’ll need to know and let you take the vehicle on the road. Make sure you bring your driver’s license and insurance information.

Buying a vehicle
If you fall in love with the vehicle, the finance manager or general manager will help you with financing or leasing, explaining your options and working up a monthly amount.
