When To Change Your Cabin Air Filter
A dirty cabin air filter won’t necessarily affect the way your vehicle drives, but it does affect the air you breathe through your ventilation, heating and air-conditioning system
Ford Motor Company generally recommends your cabin air filter be replaced every 15,000 miles. Because it helps prevent pollen, dust, mold and other airborne particles from getting inside your vehicle and into the air you breathe, you may want to have it replaced more often if:
- You or a frequent passenger suffers from allergies
- You or a frequent passenger has other respiratory problems
- You drive on a lot of dirt roads or in excessively dusty conditions
- You drive in a heavily polluted area
Visit your Ford or Lincoln Dealership for a replacement cabin air filter from Motorcraft® that is:
- Designed to remove up to 90% of dust, pollen and spore particles larger than three microns (a grain of beach sand is about 200 microns)
- Made for your vehicle
- Recommended by Ford Motor Company for your vehicle
